Nov. 5, 2018 - The Multicultural Dream Center (MDC) and STEM faculty are pleased to present And Still We Rise: Men of Color in STEM, to be held Wednesday, Nov. 14 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in El Dorado Hall 110.
This series of panel events will feature individuals from intersecting backgrounds as they come together to share their personal narratives. Traditionally marginalized or silenced experiences will be uplifted to disrupt dominant narratives and center those voices that are on the margins.
The second panel in this series will focus specifically on the experiences men of color have as scholars within the STEM field. This will be a unique opportunity for students to network and engage with established scholars, learn from their personal experiences and ask questions. Light refreshments and appetizers will be provided.
