Established 11 years ago, Model UN is a signature program of Political Science and Global Studies and serves as a premier learning, leadership and mentorship experience for students across all majors. Students can attend academic conferences where they engage in research and discussion about the world's most urgent problems.

These conferences provide a unique opportunity to develop an understanding of the complexity of specific issue areas, as well as skills in research, conflict analysis, negotiation, and public speaking.

Professors Andrea Grove and Chris Scholl serve as advisors/instructors to the students, who are enrolled in a 3-unit course, POLS 427 as part of serving on the Model UN team. Model UN is supported by the Political Science program and IRA funds.
