April 27, 2020 - The University Ombuds office is pleased to announce an official charter has been approved. President Beck has approved the charter for the office, affirming that the University Ombuds serves as a confidential, independent, impartial and informal conflict management resource within the bounds of CSU Executive Orders.
In developing the Charter, President Beck consulted with the Cabinet, Academic Senate Executive Committee, Staff Council, and the Office of General Counsel. The Ombuds Charter and Operating Procedures (PDF, 155KB) support CSUCI's commitment to the development of a fair, inclusive, and equity-minded campus where employees at all levels and from all backgrounds have the tools they need to navigate a complex and dynamic environment.
