March 29, 2019 - The School of Education is seeking volunteers for the upcoming Conference for Social Justice in Education. The conference will be held on campus in the Grand Salon on Saturday, April 6 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Volunteers are needed between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. and are welcome to choose a shorter shift during those hours.
The 11th Annual Conference for Social Justice in Education will feature keynote speaker Danna Lomax, Ventura County Educator and the 2018 recipient of the Teaching Tolerance Award. This year's theme is "Be the Change: Social Justice in and through Education in a Post-Truth Era." The conference will showcase the social justice work being done in and around schools and community organizations in the region.
