March 11, 2019 - As the Spring semester starts to reach the midway point, the Student Government body is in full swing getting ready for events and acting as the representative arm of CSUCI.

President Reyes’s key foci this semester are promoting environmental sustainability on campus; strengthening the University’s Basic Needs initiatives, including the Dolphin Pantry, Hot Meals Programs, and Emergency Housing; and finally addressing the parking concerns on campus. Student Government is currently organizing a weeklong event at the end of April that will be focused on promoting environmental sustainability on campus.

In addition to the focuses on campus, Student Government is excited to attend the California Higher Education State Summit in Sacramento this March to advocate for CI students’ higher education needs. CSUCI will be joining the other 22 CSU campuses from around the state for this conference.

Student Government strives to improve the lives of CSUCI students in all areas of their journey through higher education, acting as their representative to the University, the CSU system, the state of California, and the nation.
