March 14, 2019 - In honor of World Autism Awareness Day on April 2, CSUCI will host its eighth annual "Light It Up Blue" autism awareness event from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in front of the John Spoor Broome Library. The library, mall and Bell Tower will be lit up blue for the event.

This fun, community event features a community resource fair, speeches by students and parents living with autism. The resource fair will involve groups offering support services from the campus and community, including the Autism Society of Ventura County, regional service providers, and CSUCI's Disability Accommodations and Support Services (DASS).

The event is free and open to the public; all ages are welcome and encouraged to attend. You can view full details about the event, including a schedule for the evening by visiting the Light It Up Blue website.

"Light It Up Blue" is a global initiative to celebrate United Nations World Autism Awareness Day. The international goal is to shine a blue light on communities throughout the world to raise awareness and take action for autism.
