Phase 1 - President’s “One Health” Vision and Select Committee

In Summer 2023, President Yao led the development of a new vision for the future of Cal State Channel Islands (CI), based on the global “One Health” movement. This CI for 2030+ vision is connected to a global movement called “One Health” which stands for the idea that the health and wellbeing of everyone and everything is interconnected: people (communities and individuals), the environment (plants, animals, and the planet), and economies. In Fall 2023, a President’s Select Committee with five subcommittees was convened to study, critique, and improve upon his One Health concept paper.
