Santa Rosa Island contains significant natural and cultural resources, which include threatened and endangered plants and animals, fragile and irreplaceable archeological resources (including burials), and important geological and paleontological specimens. Individuals planning research projects must be aware of these and ensure that they consult with the appropriate persons when planning their project in order to avoid damage or injury to these resources. Please review the Channel Islands National Park protocols for archaeological (PDF, 63.6KB) and paleontological (PDF, 64.8KB) discoveries.
