Safe Spring Break

Safe Spring Break

CHP Officer Rolando Tejeda joined CIPD Officer Andrew Garcia at the Wellness & Education Safe Spring Break fair. Students tried on the CHP "impaired" goggles and attempted to walk in a straight line. CIPD and CHP remind the CI family to never drink and drive or get into a car with someone who is impaired.

Program gives back to our local community

First Year Experience

On Feb. 27, our First Year Experience (FYE) program served the community by picking fruit in Somis for Ventura County’s organization, Food Share. The FYE program picked around 2,000 pounds of fruit providing an estimated 8,000 servings that will help feed the hungry in our local community.

The FYE program is currently serving its first cohort this year and was designed specifically with the first year student in mind.  Developed by Housing & Residential Education, members who are selected for the program will live and engage with other first year students who share similar interests, take similar classes, and have access to a variety of resources to help ensure a seamless transition into college life.
