Professional Development Spring 2016 Workshops

Join us for our campus-wide Staff Development Spring 2016 Workshop Series (PDF, 160KB), open to CI faculty and staff.

Jan. 28, 9 to 11:00 a.m. / El Dorado Hall, Room 140

Cynthia King, Communication Lecturer, presents “Creating and Maintaining a Truly Collaborative Work Environment.” This session will focus on key elements and conversations needed to create and maintain authentic, respectful collaboration and teamwork. We appreciate your RSVP five days in advance.

Mindfulness Mondays: Feb. 1, March 7, April 4 and May 2, 4-5 p.m., Lindero Hall, Room 1776

Facilitated by Kirsten Olson from Counseling & Psychological Services, these sessions will bring mindful awareness to thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations which can be helpful for coping with stress. 
No RSVP necessary.

Yoga Fridays: El Dorado Hall, 7:15 to 8:20 a.m.

Leap into February, improve cardiovascular fitness, balancing the nervous system and improving brain function with Himalayan yogic techniques. Bring a yoga mat and water bottle. Taught by Christina Pabers in sponsorship with CI Campus Recreation. No RSVP necessary.

Staff Council forming

CI will be introducing a campus-wide staff council consisting of staff who will sponsor programs, services, and events promoting positive communication and community. Members will come from specific geographical areas of the campus via a nomination and election process. More information to come.
