I've Applied to CSUCI, What's Next?

  • Check your email for your myCI login information:
    • Typically this is sent 48 hours after your application is submitted and downloaded. During peak processing times, this may take up to 3-4 business days. If you did not receive this information, please contact admissions@csuci.edu as soon as possible so login information may be resent.
    • Activate this account and login to your myCI to check your admission status and any To-Do items CSUCI is requesting from you in order to process your application.
      • You will need to know your Dolphin Name & Dolphin ID# in order to activate your account.
      • Familiarize yourself with CI Records. You will be able to review the following: 
        • Admissions status
        • To-Do list - to review pending items 
        • Holds
        • Financial Aid awards 
        • Personal Contact Information (name, address, phone numbers, emails) 
        • Account Balances and make payments
  • How to Check your Admissions Status on your myCI portal. 
  • Admission Decisions:
    • A provisional Admissions letter and next steps will be emailed to you if you have met all the admission requirements. Admit emails will be sent as early as January.  
    • If we are unable to offer you admission, you will receive a denial notice via email. If you made a mistake on your application and would like to appeal the decision, please visit the Denied Freshmen webpage for more information on how to submit an appeal. You will have 15 business days from the date indicated on your denial email to submit your appeal via email. 
    • Official Transcripts are not due until you have been admitted, graduated from your high school/earned GED, and have completed all requirements. 
  • Check your email often:
    • Throughout the admissions and enrollment process, CSU Channel Islands will communicate via messages posted on your To-Do List in your myCI account and the email address listed on your application. You will be held responsible for frequently checking your CSUCI email and monitoring your myCI account throughout the remainder of the admission and enrollment process.
    • Check your bulk mail and/or spam filter folder, and set your email to accept all messages from the @csuci.edu domain.
  • Follow us on Social Media:
    • We often post upcoming dates and deadlines on our CSUCI Facebook and Instagram accounts.
