Student Conduct Code

The Student Conduct Code (Title 5, Section 41301 of the California Code of Regulations) communicates the expectations of students as members of the campus community. The Student Conduct Code may be viewed at the Title 5, Section 41301 of the California Code of Regulations website.

Student Conduct Procedures

The student conduct process, role of advisors and attorneys, sanctions, conference and hearing resolutions, definitions, and proceedings may be located in the California State University Executive Order 1098 - Student Conduct Procedures.

Discrimination, Harassment, Retaliation, Sexual Misconduct, Dating/Domestic Violence, and Stalking

Cases that may involve discrimination, harassment, retaliation, sexual misconduct, dating/domestic violence or stalking will first be reviewed and may be investigated by the Title IX and Inclusion office. After a case has been investigated and if the allegation has been substantiated under CSU Executive Order 1096 or 1097, the case is then sent to the Dean of Students office for a decision on disciplinary sanctions only. CSU Executive Orders 1096, 1097 and 1098 provide details as to how DHR and Title IX cases will be resolved at the University.

Academic Integrity

As an institution of higher learning, CI values academic integrity and will not tolerate acts of academic dishonesty. If a student commits an act of academic dishonesty in a course, the faculty member shall handle the incident based on applicable campus procedures. After action has been taken, the faculty member will notify the Dean of Students office so the circumstances may be considered in their totality. The Dean of Students office will follow up with the student for possible disciplinary action.
