Overview: Summer Study Abroad at UNYP

  • UNYP brings together an internationally diverse student and faculty population. UNYP's emphasis on dynamic and engaged learning is evident in it's small class sizes, boasting a faculty to student ratio of 1:9. 
  • The is a direct enroll program.  Final admission into the program is determined by UNYP. Program fees are paid direct to UNYP, according to their application and program timeline.

  • May 22 – June 29, 2024

  • April 15, 2024 (Rolling admission until deadline)

Eligibility

  • 3.0 cumulative GPA with at least 1 completed semester of college.
  • Current CSUCI student at time of application and during the abroad program. 
  • Open to all majors.

Application: Two-Step Process

  1. Complete the CSUCI Short-Term Study Abroad: Direct-Enroll Application.
  2. After completing Step 1, a link will be provided to applicants to apply direct to UNYP. 

Academic Information

  • Students can view course offerings at: https://www.unyp.cz/cge/study-abroad under section marked "Courses." Courses are subject to change.
  • Courses may be pre-approved for GE, UDGE, or major/minor requirements, depending on offerings.

Cost

The program cost is approximately $3,100 which includes:

    • Tuition & fees
    • Housing
    • Local transportation including airport pick up,
    • Student benefits program
    • On-site orientation etc.  

The fee does not include roundtrip flight, everyday meals, recreational travel, travel and health insurance (approx. $140), and personal expenses.

Host campus fees are paid direct to UNYP upon acceptance, including a non-refundable $500 deposit by UNYP's application deadline if you are accepted. 

Housing

  • Housing  is in shared room arranged by UNYP through its partner company, UNYP Corporate Services. UNYP-arranged housing has wifi or other internet access. Washing facilities are at an extra cost.
  • UNYP-arranged housing is usually 5 to 30 minutes away from UNYP by public transportation.

  • UNYP’s campus is situated in Vinohrady, a quiet, upscale neighborhood in central Prague. UNYP's facilities combine 19th-century architectural appeal with 21st-century teaching and technology. 
  • The capital city of the Czech Republic, Prague radiates European charm. Cobblestoned streets lined with colorful, ornate 19th-century buildings make for the ultimate student experience. With proximity to cafes, museums, galleries, shops, parks, and more, there is no shortage of things to do!
