Please see the details below to learn more about the COVID-19 vaccine requirements and certification deadline for students for the Fall 2022 semester.

Who Needs to Certify and When

The following groups of students are required to certify their status by 12 noon on Thursday, Aug. 18, 2022:

  • New or transfer students who have not previously certified COVID-19 vaccination with CSUCI
  • Continuing students who previously certified their status as “Not On Campus”
  • Continuing students who were not eligible to receive the booster prior to the end of Spring 2022, but are now eligible.
  • Continuing students who had temporary conditions supporting medical exemption that have expired.

Groups of Students who are not required to re-certify at this time:

  • Returning students who have previously certified that they have completed their initial vaccine series and at least one booster
  • Students who have already filed exemptions with supporting documents are not required to recertify unless expressly asked to do so by CSUCI.

In keeping with CSU policy and CSUCI requirements, vaccinated students who do not provide a COVID-19 Booster certification, by noon, Aug. 18, 2022, including supporting documents, may not be permitted to access the campus/programs.

Please note that a complete, compliant certification is required to be permitted on campus. Students who are not yet certified may also follow the instructions below.

Instructions for Certification

CSUCI has contracted with Complio of American DataBank to manage the collection, storage, and review of vaccination records and has been fully vetted by the CSU Chancellor’s office for use by all 23 campuses. We are confident in their ability to provide systems that are secure and HIPAA-compliant, as well as provide prompt review and feedback on vaccination records.

CSUCI will migrate records for students who previously provided their booster certification within myCI. Once that has occurred, students will be notified to log into Complio to confirm the information.

Students who have not provided their certification should follow the simple how-to-guide to complete certification today; a pictorial guide is also available. Use the information below to log into the Complio system where you will be prompted to select a new password known only to you; this is the password you will use for future visits to the portal:

Visit: https://csuci.complio.com
Username: (your Dolphin email address)
Password: (the last four digits of your Dolphin/Student ID number)

Complio uses the word “order” for vaccination certifications; however, there is no cost for students to certify their status since CSUCI is absorbing the cost for certification for enrolled students.

If you have questions regarding the Complio submission process, you may contact their staff as noted below:

Email: complio@americandatabank.com
Telephone: 800-200-0853

If your question is CSUCI related, please contact the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) office.

For all certifications, CSUCI considers certification documents to be qualified unless or until CSUCI or Complio notifies you that your document does not meet the requirements, in which case you are expected to provide an updated document promptly to remain in compliance. With vaccination records, Complio will review and provide clearance, or request an update, within three (3) days.  Religious and medical exemptions are reviewed by CSUCI and will take longer to process.
