Dear Student:

The uncertainty of legislation impacting undocumented individuals and specifically those with Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) status is unnerving. Ending DACA threatens the values of our University and dehumanizes members of our CSUCI community. If you or someone you know is undocumented or has DACA status, it is imperative that you review this message to understand how to help yourself, peers, friends, and family.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is accepting requests to renew deferred action under DACA for individuals previously granted deferred action under the program. We strongly encourage those eligible to submit their applications as soon as possible. Students who need financial assistance with the application fee, may apply for assistance from the Mission Asset Fund. However, due to limited funding, as of Jan. 15, 2018, applications received are being waitlisted. Priority is given to DACA renewals for recipients whose employment authorization document has already expired or will soon.

CSUCI is exploring other possible funding opportunities for students who are waitlisted. Students should refer to the links provided below to access the most up-to-date information.
