Oct. 15, 2019 - Have you seen what happens when you dip a balloon into liquid nitrogen? Have you heard about the exploding gummy bears and marshmallow cannons?  Be sure to mark your calendar for this year's Science Carnival and you can learn about each of those activities and more at this incredibly fun annual event.

Set for Saturday, November 2 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Rio Vista Middle School in Oxnard, the Science Carnival is free to the public and open for kids in preschool through grade 8.

This unique event is designed to give kids a hands-on experience with science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Over 100 science activities and demonstrations are available to experiment with and kids are encouraged to wear their costumes!

Interested in getting more involved? Sign up to volunteer at the Science Carnival and you can choose to help with science activities or logistics. Volunteering is a great way to give back to the community while having fun and helping young minds discover how cool science can be!
