Free fitness classes for faculty, staff

Zumba and Yoga classes will be available for free for CI faculty and staff. These classes do not require membership for the Recreation Center, there is no registration process, there are no commitments and they adjust to all levels of experience. Simply come as often or as little as your schedule affords. Zumba classes are held at the Recreation Center on Thursdays from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m., Jan. 22 through May 13. Zumba fitness is designed to bring people together to sweat it out. A total workout, combining all elements of fitness – cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility, boosted energy and a serious dose of awesome each time you leave class. The class will be taught by Lindsey O'Connor. Yoga classes are held at El Dorado Hall on Wednesdays from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m., Jan. 21 through May 13. This class is tailored to improving cardiovascular fitness, encouraging detoxification and balancing the nervous system. Himalayan yogic techniques for improving brain function will be taught. The class will be taught by Cristina Pabers. Please bring your own mat and bottle of water. Class will be taught on chairs and on mats.
