Addy
Hello everyone! My name is Addy, and I am a third-year student here at CSU Channel Islands, majoring in health science and minoring in political science. After graduating in Spring 2026, I plan on staying at CSU Channel Islands to earn a teaching credential so that I can teach high school biology, anatomy and physiology, and health. Coming from Northern California, the idea of moving across the state for university was nerve-racking! When I first stepped onto this campus, I knew I had the support of my professors, faculty, and peers. Being at such a close-knit school means my administration wants to see me succeed and will provide me with opportunities I wouldn’t find anywhere else!

Yahir
Hi everyone! My name is Yahir, and I am a first-generation transfer student from Oxnard College in my third year at Cal State Channel Islands. I am studying psychology, a field I have been passionate about for a few years. My future career goal is to work as a therapist in a school environment. I chose Cal State Channel Islands because of its small class sizes and unique location. In addition to clubs, events, and programs, there are many opportunities to get involved and form close connections. One of my favorite experiences at CSUCI has been visiting Santa Rosa Island, where I had the incredible opportunity to see an island fox in person!
