New EOC and classroom located in Ojai Hall

This past summer our Facilities Services team completed a refresh of Ojai Hall Room 1986, which will serve as the new Emergency Operations Center (EOC) as well as being used as a classroom. New carpet, blinds, lighting, and paint were provided to the entire interior of the room. Motion and daytime sensors were added to promote sustainable features. The primary use of Ojai Hall Room 1986 will be as a classroom, though when classes are not in session, the room could be used for EOC meetings, trainings, and exercises.

Four large television screens were also installed to benefit students, faculty, and staff with advanced teaching techniques. These televisions will also provide high functioning situational awareness during emergencies
