I've Applied to CSUCI, What's Next?
Check your email for your Dolphin ID and Name.
An email is typically sent shortly after your application is submitted through Cal State Apply. That email will include your Dolphin ID number and username. You will need this information to activate your myCI account.
Once your myCI account is active, you can login to your Applicant Portal.
Get ready to turn in your official transcripts.
- If you are a lower division transfer student, you will submit your official final high school transcripts along with any college transcript(s) and AP/IB test scores.
- If you are a upper division transfer student, you will provide official college transcripts. If you have any in-progress coursework, then you will submit official transcripts twice: Once so you can meet with an academic advisor and register for classes, and again when your final grades have posted.
Await your admission decision.
A provisional admission letter and next steps will be emailed to you if you have met all the admission requirements.
The sooner you apply, the earlier you will receive a decision.
- Admit emails will begin going out in November for Fall entry applicants and September for Spring transfer applicants.
- Applicants admitted to the Nursing program will be notified by April.
If we are unable to offer you admission, you will receive a denial notice via email. If you made a mistake on your application and would like to appeal the decision, please visit the Denied Transfer webpage or more information on how to submit an appeal. You will have 15 business days from the date indicated on your denial email to submit your appeal via email.
Check your email.
Throughout the admissions and enrollment process, you will be held responsible for frequently checking your CSUCI email and monitoring your Applicant Portal.
Check your bulk mail and/or spam filter folder, and set your email to accept all messages from the @csuci.edu domain.
