The Center for Community Engagement cordially invites you to attend the 2024 Celebration of Service on Thursday, May 2, 2024. Join us for all or some of the day's programming. We will begin at 9:30 AM with coffee in the Grand Salon followed by a presentation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM for community partners and faculty by Dr. Ethel Nicdao, a nationally recognized leader in the field of Community Based Participatory Research.  From 11:00 AM-12:00 PM join us for a poster session in the Grand Salon higlighting all the stellar service-learning and community based research projects by students, faculty and community partners. Finally, we will end the Celebration in the North Quad from 12:00-1:30 with an awards luncheon. Celebrate with us as we highlight several service-learning projects and research and award a student, community partner, staff/administrator, and faculty member. We look forward to celebrating with you at this year's Celebration. Please RSVP now.

Spotlights on Service

Each year the CCE honors individuals and projects in the areas of service-learning and community engagement. The CCE's Spotlights on Service (formerly Activities, Awards & Recognitions in Community Engagement) publication celebrates these awardees, while also sharing  CCE initiatives and activities. In the following pages, we seek to place a spotlight on some of the most notable examples of community engagement from our stellar faculty, students, and community partners. We believe projects like these can play a key role in bringing our community closer to a just, inclusive democracy and society. It is our hope they inspire you.
