Community Partner Orientation

The Center for Community Engagement offers a Community Partner Orientation that provides an overview of the roles, responsibilities, and expectations of your organization and CSUCI, the nuts and bolts of service-learning, and an introduction to CSUCI resources that are available to your organization.

Based on 2020 service-learning evaluations from community partners, we removed several barriers to attending the yearly on-campus orientation, including time, parking, inability to leave work, etc. The Community Partner Orientation can now be viewed through a series of videos that are accessible to review when schedules permit. In addition, the video series can be shared with other site staff that will be supervising students and can be used as a refresher course to service-learning.

Module 1: Introduction to Community Partner Orientation  (4:33). This video will introduce you to CSUCI, the Center for Community Engagement (CCE), students, and service-learning.

CSUCI and the CCE believes in the power of service-learning to be reciprocally beneficial to the students, faculty, you, and the community at large. The CCE is dedicated to forming and maintaining this mutual partnership and do so by providing the following resources.
