There are two ways you can get involved within RHA: General Board membership (Floor Representatives) & Executive Board membership.

General Board

General board ("g-board") is comprised of voluntary floor representatives from each floor of each village in Housing: Santa Rosa, Santa Cruz, Anacapa, & Town Center. To join the General Board, a student would either need to be nominated by the students living on their floor, or can show up to meetings and register themself as a floor representative. Even as a voluntary position, you are still able to gain valuable experience and use RHA as a form of personal professional experience. Floor representatives will be present interacting and participating at the General Board meetings. That could include helping to voice the opinions, suggestions, or questions that your floor has about upcoming events or resources provided for students while staying on campus.

Executive Board

Executive board ("e-board") are paid positions for Housing residents, whose purpose is to serve Housing students with events and resources while strengthening and building the campus community and equity. All of the RHA responsibilities are divided equally and fairly amongst the Executive Board members.

Elections for the Executive Board start during the month of April. Students can nominate themselves or nominate others. Once nominated, you can either accept or turn down the offer. Once you accept the nomination, the rest of the employment process depends on which position you have been selected for. Some positions require an interview process with a student employment application and resume. Other positions have an election and voting process where you will campaign and advertise for your position.
