Is a deposit required before renting gear or equipment?
No, not at this time but if equipment continues to be returned damaged, wet or dirty, a deposit may be required in the future.
How many items can one person rent at a time?
Due to a limited supply of equipment one person can only rent one of each item. For example: one tent, sleeping bag, foam pad and backpack.
How long does it take to rent equipment?
Depending on how many students we are serving, it can take a short while to complete the process. Renters will also have the opportunity to inspect the gear which is very highly recommended. Therefore, please allow for at least 15-20 minutes or longer.
How long can I keep rental gear?
You are able to rent our gear for up to 3 days/2 nights.
Damaged Equipment: If equipment is returned damaged, it will be up the Campus Recreation staff to determine the extent of the damage and if what costs the student will be responsible to pay for.
Dirty/Wet Equipment: Any rental equipment returned dirty or wet is subject to a $10 cleaning fee per item. The assessment of the rental equipment condition upon its return is subject to the digression of the Campus Recreation staff.
