CSU Channel Islands is committed to promoting student success and ensuring equitable access in all aspects of the student experience. The institution has a wide array of programs, initiatives and opportunities to support students in realizing their educational goals. To maximize their effectiveness, student success initiatives should be coordinated across all divisions and units to avoid duplication and overlap as well as to seek synergies when possible. To that end, Research and Sponsored Programs strongly encourages PIs to become familiar with existing student success initiatives and to collaborate and communicate with pertinent stakeholders at the institution during the proposal development process. Leveraging existing efforts and building collaboration within the institution will strengthen proposals, making them more competitive. Collaboration and communication throughout proposal development will also help avoid overburdening existing initiatives when proposals are awarded, and new projects are implemented.
