  1. How can I set-up a tuition installment payment plan (TIPP)?
    • Tuition installment payment plan set-up is completed through your myCI portal.
    • Please refer to the How to Enroll in TIPP (PDF, 352KB) guide for step-by-step instructions on how to enroll online.
  2. Can I use a payment plan to pay my tuition and mandatory campus fees?
    • Yes, we offer an installment plan that breaks down your bill into three payments (specific due dates are listed in the Tuition/Fee Assessment Calendar)
    • A $33 non-refundable administrative fee is assessed at the time the of TIPP enrollment. This fee is due with your first payment. Each payment must be received by 5:00pm on the due date.
    • If payment is not received by the stated due date, a $25 late fee will be assessed.
  3. Will I receive a bill each month if I am using a tuition payment plan?
    • No, Student Business Services will not send paper bills.
    • Please save a copy of your tuition payment plan contract to know when payments are due.
    • Students may also view their payment due dates and amounts by logging into their myCI portal.
  4. What happens if I miss an installment payment on of my payment plan?
    • If you do not pay the 1st installment in full by the published due date you may be disenrolled from all your classes.
    • If you miss the 2nd and any following installment payment plan due dates, a $25 late fee will be charged, and a financial hold will be applied to your account.
    • Defaulting on payments will prohibit you from being able to use the installment payment plan in future terms.

    • Housing installment payment plan set-up is completed through your myCI portal.
    • Please refer to the How to Enroll in HIPP (PDF, 454KB) guide for step-by-step instructions on how to enroll online.
    • A $33 non-refundable administrative fee is assessed at the time the of HIPP enrollment. This fee is due with your first payment. Each payment must be received by 5:00pm on the due date.
  6. Why did my housing installment payment apply to my tuition charges?
  7. Any outstanding balance due to the University must be paid prior to housing. For more information, please send an email to sbs@csuci.edu.
