Your Outdoor Study Space

As it’s been noted, COVID-19 has impacted CI students in a multitude of ways and the campus recognizes that students may have limited access to internet or may be sharing internet access, causing regular interruptions to their studies.

In consultation with Environmental Health & Safety, and in anticipation of the county’s recent transition into the Red Tier on March 17, the University is now able to provide three outdoor study spaces that are available for all CSUCI students to open next week. The spaces are located at Islands Café Patios, A2 parking lot, and the Student Union Courtyard. Each study space provides a safe, socially-distanced area that students may reserve every day between 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. to engage with their studies with campus Wi-Fi and reduced distraction. Additionally, each outdoor study space provides students with a desk or table, chairs, and sanitizing supplies.
