Committee onboarding and introductory training will take place during the early Spring semester. This onboarding process includes newly appointed student, staff, and faculty members, as well as members with renewed appointments, where applicable.

The introductory training provides a broad overview of:

  • IRA policies and procedures
  • Allowable and non-allowable expenses
  • Committee member roles and responsibilities
  • Important timelines and due dates
  • Rubric review and evaluation processes
  • Final deliberation and recommendation procedures

Following the training, committee members independently review and score submitted applications based on established rubric. The cycle concludes with one or more final deliberation meetings, during which members discuss proposals collectively, consider funding priorities and available resources, and arrive at final funding recommendations through a consensus-based process.
