Dr. Olson is originally from Baltimore where she obtained her Masters of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology from Loyola University Maryland. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Georgia and is licensed as a psychologist in California. Her predoctoral internship was completed at the Counseling Center at the University of Maine and her postdoctoral training was completed at Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She previously worked in the Baltimore Veterans Affairs Medical Center and has enjoyed working with students in college counseling centers since 2002. Prior to working at CI, she was the Assistant Clinical Director at UC Santa Barbara. Dr. Olson practices Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with an emphasis in mindfulness-based interventions and integrated wellness. She believes that by being more present in our lives, we can not only survive but also thrive personally, academically, and professionally.
