Your academic success and providing your DASS accommodations are important to us.

If you have been approved for alternative testing accommodations through DASS, you have an important active role and responsibility to meet established student requirements.

Students approved for this accommodation will have the option to take their quizzes, exams, mid-terms and finals with specific testing arrangements, which may include extra time, a reader, a private room, a scribe, breaks, use of a computer, enlarged print, etc.

Student Responsibility:

Alternative Testing Accommodations are not automatic and you will need to schedule each exam accommodation request (quizzes, mid-terms, and tests) through the DASS Online Portal at least 7 BUSINESS DAYS (this does not include weekends) prior to the exam date.

Note: Per established guidelines, late requests for accommodations such as extended test time are subject to being denied due to unreasonable time for DASS staff to prepare. As such, students placing late requests for Alternative Testing Services may be instructed to take the exam in the classroom without DASS-approved accommodations.

Scheduling your exams: Helpful Tips

Tip 1: Review your responsibilities listed on your signed Alternative Testing E-Form Agreement located on your DASS Online profile under “My Accommodations” on the left side.

Tip 2: Review your syllabi for each course and schedule all your exams for the whole semester through the DASS Online Portal. If your instructor should change the exam date or time listed on the syllabus, you may login to DASS Online Services and modify your testing accommodation request without penalty.

Tip 3: Check out our video on How to Schedule Alternative Testing.
