As a new student employee, you will need to complete new employee hiring paperwork in the Human Resources office if:

  • You have never held a campus student or summer youth aid position at CSUCI, OR
  • Your previous student employment at CSUCI ended more than three years ago, OR
  • You previously held/currently hold a University Glen or Auxiliary Student Assistant position and are now taking a campus student assistant position.

An HR coordinator will contact you once they are notified of your employment offer by the hiring department. Instructions to complete the onboarding process, including the new hire paperwork and I-9 documentation will be provided.

I-9 Documentation

All new employees are required to demonstrate their identity and eligibility to work in the United States in accordance with the Immigration and Reform Control Act. Acceptable documents that establish identity and employment authorization can be found on the  I-9 Acceptable Documents webpage. Identity documents must be original and presented by the student, HR will not accept photocopies of any identity documents.

Gather Your Social Security Card

It is required that your name and Social Security Number are reported exactly as stated on your Social Security Card to the Internal Revenue Service and California Franchise Tax Board to satisfy California State Controller’s Office payroll requirements. You will need to present an original, non-laminated Social Security Card.
