How long will it take to receive my transcript?

Average processing time is five (5) business days.

Can my CI transcript be sent to an overseas address?

Yes. When ordering transcripts with an International address please send a follow up email to records.registration@csuci.edu  notifying them of your order once it has been confirmed through Parchment.

How do I request to pick up my transcript, in person, at Channel Islands?

You will order a transcript by using the typical myCI official transcript link. Once you log in, search for CSU Channel Islands as the Institution Name. After you click select, you will be taken to an address page. Be sure to edit the Mailing Name field to include: First Name Last Name - Pick up - CSUCI (eg. Sally Dolphin - Pick up - CSUCI).

Bring your photo ID to pick up in the Enrollment Center, Records & Registration front desk. Be sure to check our office hours before you visit the front desk (https://www.csuci.edu/records-registration/).

What if my transcript is not received within the timeline?

Contact Records and Registration for assistance.  The increased volume of requests received at the beginning and end of each semester can extend the timeline.  Delays are possible due to:

  • Hold on Student Record
  • Incorrect information on the request

Has my transcript order been processed?

You may track your order online using your order number and the email address you used to place the order. Updates are sent when:

  • Your order has been received
  • If additional information is needed
  • Your order is complete

I owe money to the University. Can I still order a transcript online?

Yes.  However, until you pay the fee and clear your hold, the transcript will not be sent

Can I receive my transcript the same day I order it?

At this time we do not offer expedited services.  Official transcripts will take an average of five (5) business days.  Please plan accordingly since immediate transcript processing is not an option.

Will my Channel Islands transcript show transfer work?

Only the summary totals of transfer work received by CSU Channel Islands appear on your transcripts; individual courses are not listed.  If you need copies of transcripts supplied to CSU Channel Islands, please contact the institution that originally issued your transcript to request a copy.

Does my CI Transcript include my total units and Grade Point Average (GPA)?

Each semester the Term GPA and Cumulative GPA appears on the transcript.

  • Term GPA reflects your statistics for the semester
  • Cumulative GPA reflects both your work completed at CSU Channel Islands and any transfer work posted to your academic record
  • Cumulative  Unit Totals for your career appear at the very end of your transcript
  • For more information on how to calculate your GPA please see the GPA Calculator website at http://www.csuci.edu/academics/advising/gpa-calculator.htm

Will my transcripts show that I have finished my degree?

Degrees are typically awarded 8-10 weeks after grades have been finalized following the end of the semester. You may submit an official transcript request online.  Official transcripts will take an average of five (5) business days from the date your degree is posted to your record.

How can I check to see if my degree has been posted?

You will receive an email to your campus account from Records and Registration that your degree has been posted.  Also you can review your unofficial transcript in the myCI Portal to determine if your degree is reflected.  Once verified, you may request a transcript online.
