  • Credit Rationale: Institution’s faculty members conduct research on sustainability topics. Any level of sustainability research by a faculty member is sufficient to be included for this credit. In other words, a faculty member who conducts both sustainability research and other research may be included.
  • Environmental Benefits: Conducting an inventory of faculty sustainability research at an institution can serve as a valuable first step in identifying strengths and areas for development in research.
  • Scoring: Institutions earn the maximum of 10 points available when 25 or more percent of faculty are engaged in sustainability research.
