Federal Grants

Federal Grants do not have to be repaid (unless you do not complete the term of enrollment). Students must meet eligibility requirements and must demonstrate financial need. To be considered for Federal Grants, you must file a Free Application of Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the aid year.

State Grants

State Grants do not have to be repaid (unless you do not complete the term of enrollment). Students must meet eligibility requirements and must demonstrate financial need. To be considered for State Grants, you must complete a FAFSA or California Dream Act Application (CADAA) for the aid year. Application procedures for State Grants may require additional forms. State Grants are limited to California residents only and the funds for these grants may be available only on a limited basis.

Student Loans

There are various low-interest loans available to students whose educational expenses cannot be met by grants or other sources. Most loans are awarded based on financial need and cannot exceed the Cost of Attendance. However unlike grants, loans must be repaid. Terms and conditions apply to all loans and additional steps may be required. To be considered for a federal student loan, you must complete a FAFSA.
