Graduation Checklist:
- Complete the Application for Graduation, available online through your myCI Student Center in CI Records. Please allow a minimum of 24 hours for the $50 Graduation Application Fee to post to your account.
- Submit any outstanding Official Transcripts, General Education Course Substitutions (PDF, 184kb), Petitions for Exception (PDF, 61kb), or other required documentation to the Registrar's Office.
- Update your mailing address in myCI, under CI records.
- Update the name on your diploma, if needed. Check this by viewing your Primary Name in your Student Center by navigating to 'Personal Information' and selecting 'Names'.
- Check for any holds on your account and clear them with the appropriate department.
- Check your CI Academic Requirements Report (CARR) to make sure everything is complete. A green check mark indicates a requirement has been met.

Q: What if my employer needs proof that I am planning to obtain a degree and my degree is not posted yet?
A: A Letter of Anticipated Completion Request (PDF, 94kb) can be submitted.
Q: How can I show my degree is posted if I'm waiting for my diploma?
A: You can verify completion of your degree via an Official CI Transcript. You can order official transcripts online.
Q: My employer wants to see a transcript with my degree posted. What do I do?
A: You will need to wait until you receive notification from the Registrar's Office of your degree being awarded before ordering Official Transcripts.
Q: When can I expect to receive my diploma? Or, how can I obtain a duplicate copy of my diploma?
