Emergency Contraceptive (EC) or "Plan B" can be used to prevent pregnancy after unprotected sexual relations. While it is most effective if used within 72 hours, EC may still reduce the chance of pregnancy for up to five days after unprotected intercourse.

Prescriptions for EC are available at Student Health Services for individuals with private insurance. If you do not have insurance, EC is available at no cost via Family PACT. You can schedule an appointment with our office to see if you are eligible.

For more information visit this Emergency Contraception website. Please visit us in Yuba Hall or call our office at 805-437-8828 for additional information.
