Welcome Faculty & Staff

Career Development and Alumni Engagement can provide your students with career readiness as an integral part of your course curriculum, or as an opportunity for students to learn about valuable career skill sets and engage with the Dolphin alumni network.

We look forward to our collaboration in support of student success and welcome your feedback to assist your students' success. For the latest on the Career Center, check out the Spring 2024 Faculty Newsletter  on student internships, employer engagement, and alumni testimonials!

Request a Career Center Presentation

Presentations are available for in-person and virtual formats that brings the Career Center to your classroom. Requests can be booked through our Presentation Request form.

If this is for a class assignment, please give the Career Center a week in advance to prepare and accomodate all appointments and/or coordinate a shared group session.

A few of the topics covered in the presentation include:

  1. Guided career exploration activities based on students' interests and majors;
  2. Handshake overview and account set-up;
  3. Professional resume and cover letter writing;
  4. How to Find an Internship on Handshake;
  5. Upcoming workshops and events at the Career Center.

Post On-Campus Jobs on Handshake

We encourage faculty and staff to utilize Handshake to post a part-time job and also explore what positions are available to CSUCI students. You can also access to Handshake in your MyCI account.

If you would to request access to our On-Campus Employment account, please email career.services@csuci.edu for assistance.

Helpful Resources:

Request Alumni and Industry Professionals

In addition, we can arrange presentations by employers and industry professionals (many of them alumni), who can discuss their experiences and how their major has helped them in their careers.

Internships & Academic Credit

Visit our Internship Hub for information to support faculty and staff who have students seeking internships and academic credit.

Access Handshake to connect your students to local and regional employers seeking our student talent. Gaining access to Handshake will keep you updated on internships and career opportunities to increase collaboration between CDAE, faculty, employers, and CI students.

Refer Employers

We are proud to feature local and regional employers at Career Center events, including the Career and Internship Fair, Alumni Mentoring Nights, and Resume Review Workshops. Refer interested employers in your network to the Career Center (career.services@csuci.edu) and a staff member will assist in their recruiting needs.
