Concur Implementation Plan
Campus roll-out of Concur is being conducted over the next few months:
- March 17, 2025: Office of the President & Student Affairs
- April 14, 2025: University Advancement & Business and Financial Affairs
Enrollment Management and parts of Academic Affairs have already implemented Concur. If you are using Concur, continue to use Concur. If you report into Academic Affairs and are not sure which eTravel system to use reach out to Rosa Bravo and/or Edna Davoudi.
Live instructor led group training sessions as well as just-in-time one-on-one support are being offered during the Concur implementation.
Certify will continue to be available until after the final expense report for travel booked through it has been processed. To access Certify and/or Concur visit CSUCI Travel (myCI login required).
New eTravel Application
Effective January 2025, Financial Services will begin piloting the use of a new eTravel Application called Concur. Enrollment Management and Academic Affairs have been the areas selected to use the system first. Other departments/divisions will continue to use Certify until March 2025. MyCI has been updated to allow for users to access both Concur and Certify when the CSUCI Travel tile is selected (myCI login required).
Travel Policy Changes - Lodging Rate
Effective April 18, 2024, the nightly lodging rate for domestic travel has increased to $333 per night, excluding taxes and fees, based on actual expenses.
Travel Policy Changes - Meals
Effective January 1, 2024, Meals and Incidental Expenses (M&IE) per diem will be used for domestic locations instead of actuals. Please see our Training and Resources page for helpful guides.
Banned State Repeal
On September 14, 2023, Governor Newsom signed SB 447 which repeals AB 1887, the travel ban. Effective immediately, state funds may be used for travel to all states. If the travel occurred prior to the repeal, non-state funds must be used for reimbursement. If the travel occurred September 14th or later, state funds may be used.
