No, you can send multiple employee separations within one separation chairs email. Please just ensure to include CI ID, CHRS ID, Position #, and separation date for each employee.

Yes, both forms need to be completed. The Separation Form notifies HR and Payroll of pertinent information, including issuing of the final paycheck.

When a staff member transfers to another department, does the separation process still apply? Is a separation chairs email needed?

Yes, the separation process should still be completed as assigned access can vary across departments. When sending out the Separation Chairs email, a statement can be added notifying Separation Chairs of the department change.

If a student is not working over the summer but will be coming back in Fall, does the separation process need to be completed?

No, the separation process does not need to be completed if a student plans to return in the fall. If at any point over the summer break the student decides they will no longer be working in the fall, then the separation process will need to be completed by the department.
