Follow These 5 Easy Steps to Become a Resident:
Step 1:
Students who received an offer of provisional admission to CSU Channel Islands must complete a 3-step intent to enroll process. Instructions for doing so, along with the intent to enroll deadline, may be found in the Enrollment Guide that accompanied the offer of provisional admissions. Electronic Versions may be found here:
Step 2:
Submit your On-Campus Housing Application via myci.csuci.edu. There is a $50 non-refundable fee to submit your application. Applications received after the priority housing deadline in May may be placed on a waiting list and accommodated on a space-available basis.
- Enter your myCI Login information.
- Under myLinks select the Student Housing link.
- Select the Fall/Spring Housing Application.
- Select the term you are applying for under Term Selector: Academic Year, or select the Term Selector: Spring then Save & Continue
- Submit your application payment, housing application, and deposit by the deadline to secure on-campus housing!
Please see our Accommodations & Rates page for information on what type of occupancy you can anticipate.
Admitted students interested in participating in a Living-Learning Community should complete the supplemental application within the student housing application.
Step 3:
Return a hard copy of your signed Housing License Agreement Signature Page, & Minor Medical Consent Form (PDF, 102KB), if you are less than 18 years of age.
Step 4:
Make all scheduled payments.
Timely submission of all housing payments is necessary regardless of whether the funding comes via financial aid or private funds. Whether you anticipate receiving financial aid or not, you’ll want to be sure to submit all housing payments by our designated due dates to ensure your housing accommodation needs are met. Making subsequent payments on time is also essential to retaining your housing eligibility.
Step 5:
The fine print:
- Priority for room assignment is determined by lottery for all students who meet the priority application deadline. Students applying after the priority deadline will be placed on a waiting list and will be assigned after all students who met the priority deadline have been accommodated.
- Please note that the Housing application fee and the Housing deposit CANNOT be paid directly on the student account electronically or by sending a check to Student Business Services - these two payments must ALWAYS be made IN the housing application. All future payments are made via the myCI student account.
- Students who completed a FAFSA by the priority filing deadline, have a Federal Expected Family Contribution (EFC) of $6,000 or less, and have submitted all required documents to the financial aid office in order to verify their financial aid application by the designated financial aid document deadline, are eligible for a deferral of the deposit until a later date. This will happen automatically in the application if you are eligible. Otherwise, you will be directed to pay the deposit.
